Norm Facey, owner and builder of the Roberts Design 50’ steel hulled cutter built the boat over a 12 year period. After completing all of the mild steel work, Norm contacted Ocean Metal with a list of stainless steel components to be built.  Ocean Metal had the opportunity to build every component from bow to stern which allowed us to carry design details throughout the project. As displayed in the pictures below, there are many facets to this job. Ocean Metal focused on combining function, durability and quality to support Norm and wife Willie’s intentions to sail around the planet.
